The Driver and the Two Old Ladies

When angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings, nor feel the feathery touch of the breast of a dove; but we know their presence by the love they create in our hearts. - anonymous

Me and my wife went to pick up the bed using our minivan. We decided to pick it up ourselves para makatipid sa delivery. Pero yung mattress di kasya so we tied it on top of the roof of our minivan.

But still naisip namin hindi kakayanin at delikadong mag-travel sa highway.

----------

Dalawang buwan na nga siyang naghahanap ng trabaho with no success. Na di-depress na nga siya. This time may job interbyu siya ulit at alas-tres ng hapon ang kanyang appointment.

Ang problema mukhang di siya aabot on time.

Aba’t what a coincidence, pareho pa pala pupuntahan nila.

Good news, hindi nga na-late is Jack sa kanyang interbyu. More good news, after the interview, Jack was offered the job.

----------

For the skeptics, the presence of the driver and the two old ladies, were mere coincidences. These people were just ordinary people who happen to be there at the time when someone needed their help. Others would go so far as calling them angels. Myself, I don’t think they were angels in the spiritual sense. But in these two incidents I definitely couldn’t help tell myself that they were “hulog ng langit”. Come to think of it, maybe angels do exist but in human form. Siguro totoo nga ang mga kasabihang “we are each others angels” and that “all God’s angels come to us disguised”.

  • I've been going through these transformational trainings that kind of advocate that there are no coincidences. I'm reading a book right now that say There Are No Accidents. I'll tell you how it turns out. These are beautiful stories btw.

  • I believe na we're angels in disguise nga, dahil sa if we just do the right thing and know when to do them, help someone out of the goodness of our hearts, we can change lives. We can surely make a difference in someone's life, gaya sa stories dito, sometimes you just never know that you'll stumble sa isang tao na can play your angel. I wish nga eh, I was able to remember my dream in time for my uncle to stay out of trouble kaso lang I got too distracted. Siguro nga eh, by telling him my dream, he was forwarned and was more aware of his surroundings, kaya it hurts pag you knew you could have made a difference then you failed, eh ang hirap kayanin, nakaka heart breaking talaga. Mga dreams ko seems to foretell stories or events or mga happenings na nangyayari or mangyayari pa lang, kaso lang too far away ako, at no way to reach out or warn sa mga taong posibleng ma-aapektuhan. Who am I anyway?...ikanga masabi ko sa sarili, lalo na pag may dreams are about the general public gaya sa Hurricane Katrina at ngayon na naman sa flood sa Leyte-Pinas, I just had dream noong mga lumipas na araw or weeks na a body of water ay over flowing at mga fellow Filipinos ang starring doon, saka ang daming mga gamit na being dragged away by water-washed down the running, rushing water, at na drowned yong iba, lalo na mga maliit na bata, mga tao ay in the chaos trying to manage at escape sa water. Kakaiba talaga mga dreams ko, pag yong sa Hurricane eh, I saw African-Americans and Caucasian-Americans people in it.

  • correct po kayo dyan, we are indeed each other's angels...

kahit sa simpleng entry or comments ng ating mga blogmates, our lives are touched or our paths are enlightened...

  • Tito KU - You've read my entry di ba? Your entry only confirmed my long held belief that for every insensitive person in this world, there is/are always another human being/s who is/are capable to empathise and with a big heart.

  • thess,
    tama yan nga ang karma.

    pao,
i read your post nga at nakakalungkot talaga ang mga ganong pangyayari sa bansa natin.

    rhada,
that is very true. when i think back there is never a point in my life na naramdaman kong pinabayaan niya ako. somehow, somewhere, when there is something i need to tackle or a problem arises, a solution comes up and things work out for the better.

    tintin,
sounds like an interesting book. hope you share some of the ideas from the book.

    anaps,
i think you have a gift. you should not blame yourself or feel bad because of this gift. i'm sure there's nothing you could have done that would have changed the turn of events.

    mmy lei,
    i totally agree.

    rachel,
tama nga kahit "simpleng entry" lang we are able to touch one another. "touch by an angel".

    banjan,
    napakabait talaga niya.

    trotskybee,
ya i read that. maraming pa ring mabubuting tao sa mundo.
