Para sa mga magpaparenew ng NZ passports, may mga bagong alituntunin ang NZ Internal Affairs tungkol sa mga passport photos. If you don’t follow the new rules, they might return your photos and may cause a delay in the issuance of your new passports.
Bawal na ang nakangiti sa picture! Katulad ng mga example na ito.
Precise measurements, lighting and facial expressions have been introduced so passports can be read by facial recognition technology at border controls.
Passport regimes around the world are being overhauled to combat identity fraud and meet higher standards in aviation security following terrorist attacks in America.
Among the requirements for a photograph:
* A full front close-up view of the head and shoulders with the head covering 70 to 80 per cent of the photo.
* The person must be captured from slightly above top of head and include shoulders, the head shown centred/square on, looking directly at the camera, not looking over one shoulder (portrait style) or tilted, and both edges of the face shown clearly.
* A neutral expression (not grinning, laughing or frowning) with the mouth closed.
* The eyes must be open and clearly visible.

Paano na kaya yong aking pang passport photo na pinakuha ko pa sa isang sikat na studio back home? Pinaretoke ko pa naman ng husto nang maka-mukha ko si Papa Piolo at nakapose pa akong parang "You' re the man!" Labas na labas pa ang aking pang-mais. Dami ko pa namang kopya. Baka gusto mo padalhan kita Ka Uro para mapakinabangan naman, baka kasi maraming daga diyan sa Auckland.

Mawalang galang na po, Ka Uro nagtatanong lang po. Doon sa huling requirements na "The eyes must be open and clearly visible." paano po kaya ang mga singkit na halos di na makita ang mata?

siguradong marami kang mabibighaning chicks sa photo mo. niretoke pala e. mabuti nakuha pa sa retoke ano? hahaha. walang daga sa amin kaya di ko magagamit. siguro natakot na sila sa mga picture kong nakasabit. :)

Para palang "WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE". Siguro nga, it is better to have uniform passport pix, para may standard. Naalala ko tuloy yung kauna-unahang passport pic ko...kakagising ko lang halos, tapos eh nagsabog pa yung kulot kong buhok, tapos eh nasakop ng buong mukha ko yung 2x2, ay sus ang sagwa!! Pero nakatago pa rin, souvenir, para wag ng tularan!

strict, no? pa'no na lang kaya yung mga mababaw ang kaligayahan na kadali ngumiti. a, 'lam ko na, while Peter Pan thinks of the happy moments to be able to fly, one should think of sad moments to pass the photo requirements for NZ.

Kapag full body shot ang binigay mo baka isang page na ng passport ang sakop nito
* The eyes must be open and clearly visible
hmmm, siguro may nagsusubmit ng passport picture na kung hindi nakakindat ay parang tulog.
